To celebrate the launch of the backlink blacklist tool I wanted to share some link building results with you.

At the start of 2021 search traffic had flat lined for this site:

So we started to build 8 links per month to the site in May 2021 gradually growing to 12 links last month in July 2021.

We did this by following a simple strategy that I've shared with you before:
  • Step 1 - Identify commercial focused keywords ranking in positions 2-19
  • Step 2 - Build 8-12 links per month across those pages
  • Step 3 - Review progress every month and repeat the first 2 steps
Essentially we are just looking for pages that Google already love, and then give them a gentle push with links from here.

And if your site already has existing search traffic, it's easy to find those opportunities using the Search Performane report in Google Search Console.
